A Tuxedo Cat Turned Into a Hot Dog and Walked Across the Lawn
Everyone loves a good hot dog, especially when it has whiskers. A black and white tuxedo cat stands on the lawn in a plush orange bun with a yellow zigzag of mustard on top, and his white chest and dark face peek out from the opening. His green eyes are wide, his ears are tilted and his steps are careful, as though he is not sure what is happening. Red and orange leaves dot the grass, and a few pumpkins sit along the house in the background.
Tuxedo cats are not a breed but a coat pattern, and they are well known for being playful, social and sometimes dog-like in their devotion. A bulky costume like a hot dog bun can make walking awkward, so choose one with plenty of room for the legs and keep wear time short. Never leave a costumed cat unattended, and watch for signs of stress. Cats do not need costumes, and many prefer their usual fur, so if yours looks upset, it is fine to skip the outfit. On a lawn, keep a cat on a harness and leash, since a sudden noise could make him bolt. Check the grass for pesticides before outings.
The bun is soft, the mustard is bright and the cat is the most patient hot dog on the block. If anyone offers him a real one, we hope he will politely decline.
