A Golden Puppy Wore the Witch Hat Like She Owned the Farm
Perched on a bale of hay, a golden Retriever puppy wears a tall black witch hat that has slid just a little to one side. Golden Retrievers have a well-earned reputation for being friendly, eager to please and good with families. They are often happy to try a hat or a costume if treats are involved, which makes them popular with people who like holiday photos. Still, a hat should sit comfortably and never slip over the eyes or ears in a way that bothers the dog. Remove it as soon as the puppy stops enjoying it, and reward calm behavior with praise.
Hay bales are a fun fall prop, but they deserve a little caution. Dry hay can be dusty, and some dogs get an itchy nose or sneeze from it. Puppies also like to chew whatever they sit on, and swallowing a lot of straw is not good for them. A blanket on top of the bale gives a cleaner, safer seat. If your dog seems itchy or keeps sneezing afterward, ask your vet for advice.
This little witch has picked a good spot and is clearly in no hurry to leave. If the hat stays on, it's a spell of pure cuteness.
