A Tiny Bee With Giant Ears Landed in the Pile of Oak Leaves

AI imagedevon rexhalloweenbee costume

A tiny dark kitten with huge ears and round golden eyes sits in a carpet of oak leaves, wearing a striped yellow and black bee costume with clear wings and bobbing antennae. Acorns lie scattered around her, and a stone path leads back to a house with weathered blue siding. She looks both surprised and pleased, as if the costume were a very nice surprise.

Acorns are a common sight in fall, but they're a hazard for pets. Oak acorns can upset the stomach if chewed or swallowed, and some pets may even get a blockage. If your kitten likes to bat or pick up things outdoors, it's a good idea to keep her away from acorn-covered ground, or to do a quick clean-up of any loose ones before playtime.

Devon Rex kittens are small, lively, and lovable, and many follow their owners like a shadow. Their coats are soft and wavy, and they are known for seeking out warm laps. The bee costume sits snugly on this one, and the little wings look just right on her slim body. She seems ready to buzz around the yard, but for the moment, she's content to sit still and enjoy a quiet autumn afternoon. A few acorns rolled off the path behind her, and she watched them with great interest but stayed in her spot, buzzing with quiet pride in her costume.
