Sprinkle Climbed Into the Old Sled and Waited for His Ride

AI imagedalmatianwooden sledchristmas snow

Perched in the corner of an old wooden sled with its red-painted runners, the Dalmatian puppy looks off to the side with a curious, innocent gaze. His spots are crisp and dark against his white coat, and his nose is a sweet pink-black mix. Snow covers the yard, a garland winds along the porch railing, and a wreath hangs on the navy blue door behind him, while a few pine needles lie scattered near the sled.

Dalmatian puppies are born white and develop their spots gradually over the first few weeks. They grow into energetic, athletic adults, so a puppy this age is starting a lifetime of enthusiasm. They need regular exercise, early training, and plenty of positive attention. Their thin coats offer little protection from the cold, so snow play should be brief, followed by drying off and a warm spot to rest. Ask your vet about winter care for a young puppy.

Sleds can be a fun place for a photo, but they're best used on flat ground, away from slopes where a puppy could slide. Check the sled for sharp edges or splinters, particularly on older wooden ones, and keep the puppy supervised. Dalmatians love a game, and a puppy this age will be happy with just being in the middle of it.

We'll call him Sprinkle. He's waiting for a push, and until it comes, he'll practice his best royal expression.
