A Cocker Spaniel Puppy Got Wrapped Up in the Christmas Lights
A golden-buff Cocker Spaniel puppy sits on a carpet, wrapped in a loose tangle of green-wired Christmas lights that glow around him. His silky ears fall softly around his face, his nose points up, and his eyes look with sweet curiosity at something above. A window, a stack of papers and a bright blue bag sit in the background, and warm light shines on his fur.
Cocker Spaniels are gentle, cheerful dogs known for their silky coats and long, feathery ears. They are friendly, affectionate and eager to please, and they are usually happiest when they are with their family. Their ears need regular cleaning and checking, and puppies benefit from early training and plenty of gentle play.
Lights and cords are a real hazard for a curious puppy. Chewing on a wire can cause burns, shocks or a blocked stomach, and tangling can lead to injury. Unplug the lights when he is unsupervised, keep cords tucked away, and use cord covers if you can. Never leave a puppy alone with an active string of lights, and call your vet if you think he has chewed one.
For now the lights are probably unplugged for the photo, and he is calmly wearing them like a halo. He has the look of someone who is quite pleased to be so well decorated.
