A Spotted Kitten Slipped Under a Ghost Sheet and Looked Out
A white sheet with two ragged eye holes is draped over a spotted Bengal kitten, and her round, wide eyes peek out of the holes with total surprise. Her ears poke out of the sheet's edges, the tabby spots on her chest shine in the lamplight, and her little paws are planted on the wooden floor. Behind her, a sofa holds a pile of dark fabric and orange leaves, a glass of water sits on the floor, and small pumpkins glow near the window.
Bengal kittens are quick, athletic, and very curious, and they grow up to need plenty of climbing space and play. The distinctive spotted coat can range from gold to snow-white, and kittens can be very vocal when they have something to say. A sheet costume can be fun, but a loose sheet can slip over a kitten's face, tangle her legs, or block her breathing, so keep it short and supervise closely. Make sure the eyeholes are big and that she can walk freely, and stop if she panics. Never use a sheet near a kitten around candles or open flames.
Let's call her Boo. Her eyes are wide as saucers, and the sheet is far too big, but she looks pleased with her haunting. A very small, very spotted ghost wanders the living room, and everything is quiet and slightly confused.
