A Fuzzy Little Bee Landed in the Autumn Leaves and Stayed
Black and yellow stripes wrap around her body, two antennae with pom-poms bob on her head, and a small pair of wings sits on her back. A brown tabby kitten has dressed as a bumblebee and settled into a bed of crunchy leaves beside a flower pot. A blue watering can, a pair of rubber boots, and a little jack-o'-lantern fill the garden corner behind her. Her eyes look to the side with a thoughtful expression.
Kittens can find costumes confusing, and the stripes and antennae are an added bonus for a kitten who loves to bat at dangling things. Make sure pom-poms are sewn on tightly and cannot be pulled off and swallowed. The outfit should never limit her breathing, vision, or walking. Norwegian Forest Cat kittens are sturdy and thick-furred, and usually playful and friendly, so they may handle outfits better than some breeds, but each cat has her own opinion. Garden time should be supervised, and keep her away from fertilizers, pesticides, and certain plants, since several common garden plants are toxic to cats. Your vet can share a list.
The bumblebee has found a quiet corner for her lunch break. She is not in a hurry to buzz away, and the leaves provide a soft landing spot for any tumbles. A fuzzy little bee in autumn is not a common sight, but she makes it look natural.
