Teddy the Yorkie Sits at the End of a Very Long Paper Towel Trail

AI imageyorkshire terrierpaper towelsliving room

Paper towels stretch across the floor in loose, wrinkled curves, and at the end of the trail sits a small Yorkshire Terrier with the face of an angel. His blue and tan coat is silky, his ears are perked, and his eyes are looking up with a gaze that says he has no idea what happened. A cozy living room is behind him, with a couch, a basket of toys, and a pair of slippers by the wall.

Yorkies are small but brave, lively dogs with a lot of curiosity, and a roll of paper towels that unrolls when you tug it is fun for a dog this size. Many dogs enjoy tearing paper, since it is a natural way to play and to use their teeth and paws. Swallowing paper towels, however, can cause stomach upset or a blockage in a small dog, so call your vet if you think your pup has eaten some. Keeping rolls out of reach or on a wall-mounted holder helps, and a safe tug toy gives him a more suitable way to pull. Because of their size, Yorkies also tire quickly, so short play sessions are better than long ones.

We will call him Teddy. The clean-up will take some time, and there may be a few pieces under the couch for days. Teddy will take a nap under the table, quite pleased with his work.
