The Husky Walked Past Carrying a Slipper and Said Nothing
The black and white Husky is walking by with a slipper dangling from his mouth, its fabric shredded into frayed strips. His pale eyes slide away from the camera, and his chin is held high with great dignity, as though he were carrying something important for someone else. Behind him, a pale sofa and a woven rug fill the living room, and the sunlight through the curtains makes his black coat shine.
Huskies are independent, athletic, and talkative dogs, and many of them grab a slipper simply because it smells like their favorite person. They need a lot of activity, and a Husky that is not tired may invent a project like moving every shoe in the house. Chewed slippers can leave small pieces that can cause blockages if swallowed, so talk to your vet if you think your dog ate some. Offering a sturdy chew toy while you are gone makes the shoe rack less interesting.
We will call him Koda. He moves with such confidence that it almost seems the slipper was his all along. His blue eye and brown eye might say otherwise, but he is committed to the story. One slipper is missing a partner somewhere, and he is quietly pleased about the whole arrangement. Mischief has rarely looked so well-groomed, and the rug beneath his paws has not even been disturbed.
