A Samoyed Made a Winter Wonderland Out of the Bathroom Supplies
The hallway floor looks like the morning after a snowstorm, and a white Samoyed sits right in the middle of it. Shredded toilet paper lies in tiny drifts across the boards, shoes line up by the wall, and a bag hangs from the door. The dog's fluffy white coat matches the mess so well that he almost vanishes into it, but his dark eyes and black nose give him away. His expression is wide-eyed and slightly worried.
Samoyeds are friendly, social dogs from the cold regions of Siberia, bred to herd and pull sleds, and they have energy to match. They are known for their smiling faces and their thick double coats. A Samoyed that is left alone with too little exercise or attention can get bored and invent projects, such as shredding paper. Daily walks, puzzle feeders, and training games can help, and so can closing the bathroom door. Their fur needs regular brushing, and with all that white fluff, it is easy to lose track of what is paper and what is dog. If a dog swallows a lot of paper, ask your vet.
He has the look of a dog who spent a long time on this project and is quite pleased with the finish, though a little nervous about the review. Cleanup will be a team effort, and he may even try to help by carrying the pieces around the house.
