The Pizza Was Gone, but a Pink Sphynx Cat Kept the Box
An empty pizza box sits open on the floor, and a pink Sphynx cat has settled right in the middle of it, looking down her nose at the room. Her large ears are tilted slightly back, her wrinkled skin has the warm pink tone of her breed, and her paws are tucked in neat little mounds. The box still shows a few grease marks, and a wooden cabinet sits behind her. She appears to be waiting for the next delivery.
Sphynx cats often hunt for warm, snug places, and a cardboard box that held something hot makes a cozy bed. They have no coat, so they are quite sensitive to cold, and many seek out laps, sunny windows, and heated spots. Pizza itself is not great for cats, since toppings like onion and garlic can be harmful and the salt and fat are not good for them. Keep boxes and leftovers out of reach, and call your vet if she eats something questionable. A heated cat bed or a soft blanket gives a Sphynx a safer, snugger place to curl up.
She is confident, calm, and clearly pleased with her pick. The pizza may be gone, but she has certainly claimed the best part of the evening. She is entitled to her cozy corner, at least until someone needs the box. Her little pink paws stay perfectly tucked, and the whole scene looks like a cat enjoying a very small, very private spa.
