A Husky Keeps a Noble Profile Beside the Spilled Trash

AI imagesiberian huskytrash canentryway

With pale blue eyes and ears pulled back, the Husky looks up and away as though someone has just called his name from another room. He sits tall in his silver-and-white coat while a black trash can lies on its side next to him, with banana peels, tissues, lettuce, and wrappers spilling across the gray floor.

The entryway behind him is bright and tidy, or it was: a blue tote bag leans against the wall, a doormat lies by the door, and a few pairs of shoes sit lined up in the corner. A little coffee grounds and paper debris have been scattered right to the edge of the picture.

Dogs explore the world with their noses, and a trash can is full of fascinating smells. Many things in it can be dangerous, including chicken bones, corn cobs, coffee grounds, onions, and anything sweetened with xylitol. Siberian Huskies are clever and persistent, and a lid that a Husky can open is a lid that will be opened. A can with a locking lid, or one stored inside a cabinet, solves the problem. If your dog gets into the trash and seems unwell, call your vet. Plenty of exercise and puzzle feeders help busy Huskies stay out of trouble.

He keeps his noble profile, as if posing for a portrait. Even in a mess like this, he manages to look dignified.
