A Cream Captain Takes the Helm in a Pink Coat and Tricorn
Captain Cream has taken the helm of his very pretty ship. A round, flat-faced Exotic Shorthair looks out from under a dark navy tricorn hat edged with gold lace, and his huge copper eyes seem to say that he has sailed every sea there is. His pale pink coat has golden embroidery and a thick fringed epaulette at the shoulder, and his creamy chest fluff pops out at the collar. A few shells and flowers curl through the gilded background like seaside foam.
The tiny, upturned nose and heavy cheeks give him a grumpy sweetness, as if the whole crew has just asked if they can set sail early and he is thinking it over.
Exotic Shorthairs have the sweet, rounded look of Persians but a plush short coat, which makes grooming easier. They are usually quiet, gentle and happy to lounge, though they enjoy a little play. Their flat faces mean they can have tear staining and some breathing sensitivity, so a daily face wipe as advised by your vet is a good habit, and cool, comfortable rooms are best in warm weather. Because they are calm, they can gain weight easily, so measured meals and short play sessions are a good idea. Regular vet visits help keep them comfortable.
The captain is in no hurry to leave port. The best voyages, after all, are the ones that include a nap.
