The Explorer in Pink Has Spotted Something Far Away
The explorer has packed his telescope and his best pink coat, and now he is ready to see the world. A brown tabby cat with round, golden-green eyes looks straight ahead, his striped face calm and curious. His pink silk coat is trimmed with gold embroidery over a golden waistcoat, and a leather strap crosses his chest. A lace cravat is tied at his neck, and in one paw he holds a brass telescope, its gleaming tube pointing up. Behind him, pink drapery, flowers and gold scrollwork glow in the soft light.
His look says that he has seen a faraway coastline and that he is quite pleased. The striped coat and golden eyes pair beautifully with the pastel setting, and the bright brass of the telescope adds a small gleam of adventure to all that soft pink.
Tabbies are a coat pattern, not a breed, so they come in all shapes and temperaments. Many are curious, friendly and active, and they love to investigate everything. The classic tabby has stripes, a dark M on the forehead and a ringed tail. Cats enjoy a good view, so a window perch or a tall cat tree gives them a lookout. Provide toys and playtime to channel their curiosity, and ask your vet about indoor safety, diet and routine checkups.
Whatever he spotted through the telescope, we hope it was a very big, very friendly bird feeder.
