The Scholar Cat Was Mid-Sentence When Someone Interrupted Her
A pure white cat with bright yellow eyes looks up as though someone has just interrupted a very important sentence. She wears a black velvet scholar's robe with a wide ruffled lace collar, and in one white paw, framed by a lace cuff, she holds a long brown feather quill. The tip rests lightly near the page that is out of sight. Her fur is painted so softly it seems to glow against the dark background, and her whiskers are fine, pale lines in the shadow.
Cats and writing have a famously close relationship, mostly because cats love sitting on whatever you are trying to use. A warm laptop, an open notebook or a pile of papers all look like perfect beds to them. If you want to protect your work, offer a nearby cozy spot with a soft blanket and make it more appealing than the desk. White cats with blue eyes can be prone to deafness, though this one has golden eyes, and any cat with a light coat should have its skin protected from too much strong sun, so talk to your vet about it.
Whatever she is composing, it is clearly a masterpiece, probably a short and elegant poem about breakfast. We suspect the final line is something along the lines of: feed me. The scholar returns to her work, ink on her paw and satisfaction in her eyes.
