The Shiba General Wore Every Medal and Smirked About It
A chest full of medals shines in the candlelight, and the general is clearly pleased. This cream Shiba Inu has a soft, fluffy face, small pricked ears, and dark, slightly sideways eyes that give him a sly, satisfied look. His navy velvet coat has gold fringed epaulettes, embroidered leaves on the collar, and a sash across the chest pinned with stars and crosses. A candle glows quietly in the dark at the left side of the frame. The sash is covered in tiny golden leaves, and every star seems carefully polished, as if he did it himself.
Shiba Inus are small, spirited dogs from Japan that are known for being clean, alert, and independent. They often groom themselves much like cats, and they shed heavily a couple of times a year. They can be strong-willed, so training should be consistent and reward-based. Many Shibas have a strong prey drive and may not come when called, so a leash or a fenced yard is wise. They often bond closely with one or two people and can be reserved with strangers, which is perfectly normal for the breed.
Each medal clearly has a story, and the general has no plans to share any of them. Maybe one is for finding the last treat. His smile says that it was a very successful campaign.
