Five Puppies Squeezed Into One Old Crate and Nobody Complained
An old wooden crate has been filled to the brim with five black-and-white puppies. They are stacked in neat rows, faces tilted upward, with white blazes, dark eyes, and tiny black noses pointing in all directions. The weathered slats of the crate create a rustic frame, and the little ones seem to fit together like pieces of a puzzle.
Puppies are drawn to cozy, enclosed spaces, and a crate with high sides can feel like a den. That is why many trainers use crates to help with house training and safe rest time. A crate for a dog should be a happy place, never used for punishment, with soft bedding and enough room to stand, turn, and lie down.
An old wooden crate is charming, but it is not the same as a dog crate. Check for splinters, nails, and rough edges, and make sure it is steady and cannot tip. The Havanese's long coat can also catch on rough wood, so a blanket on the bottom and sides is a good idea.
In this crate, there is no space for anything else. Five fluffy puppies share a tiny stage, with elbows and ears touching, and nobody seems to mind a bit. It is an excellent reminder that sometimes the coziest place is the most crowded one. Nobody is complaining about the view from the bottom row either.
