Two Bernese Puppies Peek Over the Edge of Their Basket
Two Bernese Mountain Dog puppies peek out from a wicker basket lined with a chunky knit blanket. Their black fur frames bright white blazes and rust-colored cheeks, and their dark eyes are wide and attentive. One rests its chin on the basket's rim, the other leans against its friend. A room with a wooden floor, slippers, and a houseplant is softly blurred behind them.
A basket gives a puppy exactly what it craves: a cozy spot with soft sides that feels safe. In the wild, dogs seek out dens, and puppies still love a snug corner to curl into. For a growing Bernese, though, a basket is a temporary fit. These dogs grow large, so a proper bed of the right size will serve them better as they get bigger.
The breed is known for its friendly, easygoing personality. Bernese Mountain Dogs tend to enjoy being around people and often like leaning against their favorite humans. Gentle socialization and training from an early age helps them grow into well-mannered adults. Because of their size, teaching good habits, like not jumping up, is especially useful.
For now, a basket is enough. The two puppies look comfortable and curious, watching the room like two furry spectators. If one of them decides to climb out, the other will surely follow, so the basket may not be a tidy home for much longer.
