Five Puppies, One Red Wagon, and Room for Absolutely No One Else
Every seat in this little red wagon is taken. Five cream-colored puppies are stacked shoulder to shoulder, some looking straight out with round dark eyes, others half asleep with their chins on a sibling's back. One in the upper corner squints sleepily, while the pup in the middle gazes up as if waiting for the ride to begin. Sandals, a woven basket, and a knit blanket sit on the floor around them.
Puppies naturally cluster. In a litter, they sleep and play in a heap, which keeps them warm and gives them comfort, so a snug wagon feels just right. When a litter grows, though, it is a good idea to check that everyone has room to breathe and move. Never leave puppies in a wagon, box, or basket unattended, because they can tip it or climb out and get hurt. Soft padding and a flat floor make a safer setup for photos or play.
Golden Retriever puppies are usually social and eager to be with their people, which makes early, gentle handling by many kind hands a big help. Their sweet faces here show how relaxed they feel with company, and a litter that is well socialized early tends to grow into a confident, easygoing adult.
If this wagon had a ticket booth, it would be sold out for the afternoon. The only question is where five little passengers plan to go.
