Three Sleepy Puppies Burrowed Into a Pile of Warm Towels
Warm, golden light spills over three puppies who have burrowed into a heap of beige towels. They lie in a row, eyes shut, little black noses pressed to the cloth. The pup on the left rests his head on the folded towel, the middle puppy tucks his chin low, and the one on the right turns his face into the fabric. Behind them, an open doorway shows a hallway and a houseplant.
Towels make a soft, washable bed, and many puppies love to burrow under them. For tiny Maltese puppies, a pile of towels can also hide them from view, so be careful when walking or sitting nearby. Check that loose threads are not hanging out, since a pup can chew them, and keep the pile from getting too deep so that a small puppy never gets stuck under it.
Maltese puppies are tiny, and they need plenty of warmth. A sunny spot or a cozy blanket helps them feel secure, and a quiet environment helps them sleep. Always make sure they have fresh water and a regular feeding routine, and talk to your vet if you have questions about a small puppy's care. Washing the towels often keeps the nest fresh. Choose a spot that is out of direct heat.
The towels may have been meant for the laundry basket, but three little sleepers have decided otherwise.
