Two Weimaraner Puppies Took a Seat on a Hay Bale Like Tiny Farm Inspectors
Two silver-gray puppies sit shoulder to shoulder on a golden hay bale like a pair of tiny farm inspectors. Their ears hang soft and low, their paws are tidy and their wide, dark eyes follow something just outside the frame. Straw pokes out around their feet, and behind them a cozy room glows with a lamp, a gray couch and a basket of blankets. The hay bale seems to have been moved indoors just for them.
The Weimaraner breed was developed in Germany for hunting large game and later birds, and even today many are active, intelligent and eager for a job. That means puppies benefit from variety: short training games, new smells, new textures and safe places to climb. Hay and straw are fun to explore but can be dusty, and some dogs have allergies, so watch for sneezing or itchy eyes. Keep puppies from eating bedding material, and ask your vet if you have questions about their diet or allergies.
They may be little farm hands today, but both seem quite happy to just sit and be admired.
Straw has a warm, sweet smell that makes anything feel like the countryside, even a living room. The two on the bale seem to enjoy the effect, sitting as tall as their short legs allow and looking as proud as any farm hand.
