A Boxer Puppy Lay Back and Let a Little Pony Nap on His Belly
A fawn Boxer puppy lies on his back with his tummy to the ceiling and his black muzzle resting on the rug, while a shaggy pony has laid herself across his belly like a fur blanket. Her mane is tousled and her eyes are shut. A green couch, a coffee table, family photos and a laundry basket fill the living room behind them. It looks as comfortable as any nap could ever be.
We could call the pony Clover and the puppy Bruno. Bruno has the sleepy, patient look of a puppy who has accepted his role as a pillow, and Clover is thoroughly relaxed. They make an unusual, endearing pile.
Boxer puppies are bouncy, playful and affectionate dogs that stay young at heart for a long time. They are strong and need plenty of exercise, plus gentle training to learn manners. Boxers have short noses, so they should avoid overheating, and their short coats mean they feel the cold. Dogs lie on their backs when they feel very safe, so this pose is a sign of trust. In real life, a pony lying on a puppy would be dangerous because of her weight, so supervise closely and keep your pets safe. Ask your vet about your pet's needs.
Bruno and Clover seem to have found the perfect nap, and their calm faces say so.
