A Fluffy Cream Pomeranian Kept Perfectly Still While Kittens Slept

On a warm wooden floor, a cream Pomeranian lies with his fluffy chest forward and his dark eyes looking gently down. Between his front paws, a litter of kittens sleeps in a heap: ginger, gray tabby, black and white, all with their eyes closed. Soft light slides across the boards, and a gray blanket sits behind them. The boards beneath them are warm, and the air is quiet.

We might call the Pomeranian Biscuit. His fur is like a golden cloud, and the kittens are tucked into it as if it were a nest. He keeps still so as not to wake them, and his gaze is gentle. It is hard to tell where his paws end and the kittens begin.

Pomeranians are small, lively dogs that descend from larger sled dogs. They are bright, loyal and often vocal, and they have a thick double coat that needs regular brushing. Despite their size they can be protective of their families. When introducing a small dog to kittens, supervise closely, because even gentle play can hurt tiny animals.
