A Boston Terrier Took Over the Laundry Basket to Keep Kittens Warm
A brindle-and-white Boston Terrier has climbed into a wicker laundry basket lined with soft cream towels, with his big dark eyes looking straight ahead. Curled against his chest, a litter of kittens sleeps in a heap: ginger, gray tabby, black and white, and cream. A plant, a lamp and a pile of laundry sit behind them, bathed in a warm evening glow. The glow from the lamp makes everything look like an old painting.
We might call the Boston Terrier Waffles. He has taken over the laundry basket with great seriousness, and the kittens seem to approve of the arrangement. The towels are still warm, and nobody wants to leave. It is a perfect, warm hideaway.
Boston Terriers are friendly, lively dogs with a tuxedo-like coat and a gentle, comical nature. They tend to love company and are often good with other animals, but their short noses make them sensitive to heat, so keep them in cool places. A basket lined with warm towels is cozy, but make sure that the basket is stable, the towels are clean and nobody can be trapped under them. Kittens like warm, enclosed spaces, but they should always be able to get out. Ask your vet for advice on caring for young kittens.
Waffles looks like a small, proud guardian, and the kittens are fast asleep. It is the coziest laundry day on record.
