Two Passengers Waited in the Wheelbarrow, Shoulder to Shoulder
Two passengers sit shoulder to shoulder in a green metal wheelbarrow, looking very much like they're waiting for the bus. A brindle Shih Tzu with a scruffy, striped coat and a pushed-in nose sits proudly on the left. Next to him, a brown tabby cat holds her head high with her ears forward. Behind them, a garage doorway shows boots, a plant, and a few tools hanging along the wall.
Shih Tzus are small companion dogs, originally bred to keep people company. They are usually friendly, affectionate, and happy to be around others, including cats. Their long hair and flat faces need regular grooming, and their eyes can be sensitive, so it is smart to ask your vet about routine care.
Tabby is not a breed but a coat pattern, with stripes, swirls, and the famous letter M on the forehead. Tabbies come in many shapes and personalities, which makes it hard to generalize. What we can say is that a calm cat and a gentle small dog often make an easygoing pair.
If you want to give your pets a little tour of the yard, a wheelbarrow ride is better left to a parked cart, since a moving one can tip. Here they are simply perched, content to be side by side and watch the world from a vehicle that isn't going anywhere. It is a very good seat, and they know it.
