A Red Goldendoodle and a Red Maine Coon Sat Like a Matching Pair
They almost match, which seems like it was planned. A curly red Goldendoodle sits at the windowsill with his ears falling in soft waves and his dark nose pointing out. Right beside him, a red Maine Coon sits tall with her long fur flowing and her ear tufts pointed up. Frost has crept across the glass behind them, and a woven mat and throw blanket line the sill.
Goldendoodles are a cross between Golden Retrievers and Poodles, and many are friendly, social, and eager to please. Their curly coats may shed less than some breeds, but they need frequent brushing and regular grooming to avoid matting. Because they are a mixed breed, each dog's temperament and coat can vary.
Maine Coons are among the largest domestic cats, with long coats, bushy tails, and a reputation for being gentle and sociable. Dogs and cats who match in energy often become close friends, and many families find that these two types get along well when properly introduced.
In winter, a window is a lovely place to watch the world, but glass can be chilly. A folded blanket helps, and keeping pets out of drafts keeps them comfortable. These two seem to have solved that problem by sitting close together, sharing warmth and a view of the snowy yard. Winter has met its match in two warm coats and one very good window.
