The Laundry Never Got Folded Because of These Two
Somebody left a basket of fresh towels out, and two residents decided it was the best bed in the house. A blue point Ragdoll sits upright on the pile, her blue eyes alert and her gray paws tucked neatly under her chest. Beside her, Waffles the puppy is curled into a small golden croissant, ears flopped and eyes closed. A stuffed bunny lies on the floor nearby and a pile of clothes waits on the couch behind them.
Cats are drawn to warm, soft, enclosed spots, and a basket of towels checks every box. A snug container makes a cat feel protected, and the warmth is a bonus, since cats prefer temperatures higher than most people do. Ragdolls in particular are known for being gentle, relaxed cats that often get along well with dogs. If you want to give your own pets a cozy spot, a washable blanket in a sturdy basket works well. Just check that nothing small can be chewed off and swallowed, and wash the bedding regularly.
Waffles is clearly a believer in sharing. He took the corner with the deepest folds and trusted the Ragdoll to keep watch. She does not look like she plans to give up the basket anytime soon, and the laundry will probably have to wait until the nap is over. The towels will stay warm for a good while yet, and so will the two of them.
