A Saint Bernard and a Little Horse Squeezed Into One Wheelbarrow
Two passengers, one wheelbarrow and not an inch to spare. A red and white Saint Bernard sits proudly in an old metal wheelbarrow with his wide head tilted slightly up, and a small chestnut horse leans in next to him, its mane fluffed and its eyes soft. Straw is scattered across the bottom, and behind them a cluttered backyard shows rubber boots, buckets and a stack of firewood. A pile of firewood stands against the fence, and the Saint Bernard's tail thumps happily against the metal side with every breath.
Wheelbarrows are a classic farm tool, but they are made for hauling straw and soil, not animals. A real pet should never be carried or left in one without very careful supervision, since a tip could cause an injury. In this sweet, silly picture, the two friends simply look pleased to be together, but real animals are much safer on solid ground.
Saint Bernards are famous gentle giants, and their calm personality makes them patient with other animals. They need space, shade and cool temperatures, and they require regular brushing for their heavy coats. Giving a big dog a task, like carrying a toy or learning to settle on a mat, helps them feel useful.
The wheelbarrow may be a bit snug, but a tight squeeze is part of the fun. Nobody here has any plans to hop out. Silly rides make sweet memories.
