A Cavalier and a Chestnut Horse Watched Winter Paint the Window
Frost has drawn feathery patterns across the glass, and in the soft pink light of a winter morning two friends are watching the world wake up. A tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel sits on a knitted blanket on the sill, her dark eyes wide and her ears silky, while a chestnut horse leans its head close beside her, nose pointed toward the frost. A basket and a houseplant sit nearby. The window light turns the horse's mane copper, and the spaniel's tricolor coat looks like velvet against the pale blanket.
Cavaliers are affectionate and gentle, and they have a talent for getting along with just about everyone. They are happiest when they are near their people, and they appreciate a warm lap or a soft blanket. Their long coat benefits from regular brushing, and as a breed, they often benefit from routine vet check-ups to keep an eye on their hearts and health.
Winter windows have a charm that pets seem to appreciate. Animals can spend hours watching birds, snowflakes and the world outside. If your pet likes a window perch, make sure the sill is secure and the area is free from drafts, and offer a soft blanket to keep them cozy.
The frost will melt eventually, but for now the two companions are in no hurry. A quiet winter morning is best enjoyed with a friend. Quiet mornings look best through frosty glass.
