A Tiny Puppy Took the Tractor Seat Next to a Fuzzy Pony
The tractor seat is a tight fit, but a tiny Chihuahua puppy and a shaggy little pony named Pepper have made it work. The pony lies with his legs folded under him, his messy blond forelock falling across his eyes and his soft nose pointed down. Beside him, the puppy sits upright on the black seat with big round ears flared and a bright, curious look aimed at the camera.
Behind them, a cluttered backyard workspace shows a shed door, blue buckets, a pair of boots, and a few potted plants. The puppy is smaller than the pony's head, yet he looks like he is the one in charge of driving. Pepper looks perfectly happy to be the passenger.
Chihuahuas are the smallest dog breed, and they are famously bold for their size. Puppies need gentle handling, since their bones are delicate, and they can get chilly quickly, so a warm spot matters. Miniature horses and ponies are herd animals that tend to enjoy company, and many get along well with dogs when introduced calmly. Even so, a tiny puppy and a hoofed animal should always be supervised, because a startled step could hurt a small friend. Ponies also need proper feed and regular hoof care, so talk to your vet or a farrier about what is right for yours.
Neither of them seems to mind the cramped seat. When the company is good, the smallest corner of the farm becomes a comfortable perch.
