A Tuxedo Kitten Traded His Usual Suit for Something a Little Louder
Bzzz. A tuxedo kitten has traded his usual black-and-white suit for something a little louder: a fuzzy yellow and black striped bumblebee costume, complete with a pom-pom antenna hood and two sheer little wings on his back. His face peeks out, white muzzle and chin shining, amber eyes wide and a bit bewildered. Four white paws poke out from underneath as he sits on the wooden walkway, surrounded by crunchy brown, gold and orange oak leaves. A potted plant, a pair of sneakers and the corner of a house sit in the warm background light.
Tuxedo is a coat pattern rather than a breed, describing black cats with white markings on the chest, paws and often the face. These cats come from many backgrounds, and their personalities vary as much as any other cat's. For costumes like this one, look for soft, breathable fabric and a loose fit around the neck and legs, with no small pom-poms that could be chewed off and swallowed. Stay close the whole time, keep it short and reward with a treat afterward. If your kitten flattens his ears or tries to back out of the hood, it is time to take it off.
Even the busiest bee needs a break, and this one looks ready for a nap in the leaves. Still, for one golden autumn moment, he was the sweetest bumblebee around.
