A Tiny Kitten in White Socks Reached the Hay Maze Entrance. Would She Go In?
Stacked hay bales form the dark, mysterious entrance to a homemade maze, and a brave little kitten sits right at the threshold, deciding whether to go in. Her body is soft cream, her ears, mask and tail are a deep chocolate brown, and her four paws are tipped in bright white, like she stepped into a dish of milk. Big blue eyes look up at the camera with a hint of mischief. A pair of rubber boots stands to one side, a plastic spider and a few small pumpkins sit on a doormat, and a porch light glows in the misty evening air behind the bales.
Those white paws on a pointed coat are a hallmark of the Birman, sometimes called the Sacred Cat of Burma. Birmans are known for their silky, medium-long fur, deep blue eyes and gentle, affectionate personality. Like other pointed breeds, Birman kittens are born pale and develop their darker points as they grow. Their coat tends to resist matting more than some long-haired breeds, but regular brushing still keeps it in great shape. Around hay displays, watch for dust, sharp stalks and dark gaps where a small kitten could get stuck, and always supervise outdoor exploring.
Whether she ventures into the maze or decides to stay put, this little explorer has already found the most charming spot in the whole Halloween setup.
