Peppermint Found a Mug of Cocoa Almost Bigger Than Herself

AI imagedevon rexhot cocoachristmas kitten

With her enormous ears and curly grey fur, the Devon Rex kitten sits on a wooden coffee table and studies a mug of cocoa that is nearly as big as she is. Marshmallows float on top, and the table is scattered with pine sprigs and pinecones. A cream knit blanket lies behind her, a grey sofa sits further back, and strings of lights glow in the window behind it.

Hot drinks are not safe for kittens. Cocoa contains chocolate, which is toxic to cats and dogs, and a hot mug can cause burns if a curious kitten tips it or steps near the edge. Marshmallows are mostly sugar and not good for cats. Keep mugs covered, set them on a high surface, and clean spills at once. If a kitten drinks cocoa, call your vet for advice.

Devon Rex cats are energetic, social, and very clever. Their curly coat and big ears give them an elfin look, and they often love to ride on shoulders or snuggle on laps for warmth. Their short, fine coat means they enjoy cozy spots, so a blanket or heated bed near a sunny window is perfect. Devons are also known for being playful, so they enjoy interactive toys and games.

We'll call her Peppermint. She's just admiring the view, and she'd like to remind everyone that the marshmallows look very soft.
