A Pug Puppy Found a Quiet Corner Between the Firewood and the Pumpkins
A fluffy fawn Pug puppy sits on a gray rug, looking to the side with dark, thoughtful eyes. Beside him, a neat stack of split firewood rises along the wall, and on the other side a handful of orange and white pumpkins wait on the floor. A plaid blanket, a canvas tote and a pair of boots sit in the cozy clutter behind him, all lit by soft daylight from a window.
Pug puppies are small, sturdy and full of charm, with wrinkled faces and expressive eyes. They are affectionate, easygoing companions and are happiest close to their family. Pugs have short noses that can make breathing harder in heat or when overexcited, so give them time to rest, keep them cool, and avoid hard exercise in warm weather.
Firewood piles and pumpkins are fun for a puppy to sniff, but there are small dangers. Wood can have splinters, spiders or sap, and sticks can be chewed into sharp pieces. Keep your puppy from gnawing on logs, and don't let him eat pumpkin that has been outdoors for days. Plain, cooked pumpkin is often fine in tiny amounts, but ask your vet before adding it to his diet.
He sits with a thoughtful look, as if he is considering the season. A little warmth, a little wood and a few pumpkins are all this Pug needs.
