A Spotted Great Dane Puppy Popped Up in the Gift Box With the Red Bow
A spotted harlequin Great Dane puppy rests his white paw on the edge of a cardboard gift box and peers out at the world. His ears flop forward, his eyes are bright and watchful, and a bit of red tissue paper surrounds him in the box. A red bow decorates the front of the box, and behind him golden sunlight spreads across the carpet, a basket of toys and a sofa.
Great Dane puppies are big from the start and grow incredibly fast. Harlequins have a white coat with black patches, and every pup has his own pattern. They are gentle, loving dogs, and they tend to be eager to meet people. Even so, they need early training and socialization to stay polite and calm as they grow into their very large frame.
Boxes are a favorite for dogs and cats alike, but they come with a few safety notes. Check that the box has no staples or tape he can chew, and remove tissue paper and ribbon before he plays, since swallowing them can cause serious problems. Allow him to sit in the box for a short time, then replace it with a safe toy. If he swallows packaging, call your vet.
For now, he is perfectly happy in his box, the best gift of the day. He seems delighted to be both the present and the surprise.
