Under the Red Bow, Something Small and Fluffy Was Looking Out
A black and white fluffy Havanese puppy named Patches sits inside an open cardboard box with a big red satin bow tied on the front. Her ears are long and silky, her nose is dark and shiny and her attention is fixed on something outside the frame. Crumpled paper fills the bottom of the box, and behind her a gray couch with a plaid blanket and a sunlit floor show a quiet living room.
Puppies and boxes are a classic combination, because they love tight spaces and new textures. A box makes a safe play spot if you check for staples, tape or loose paper she could chew and swallow. Puppies need plenty of rest, gentle handling and a regular routine, and the busy holidays can be overwhelming. Offering a quiet place, regular meals and short play sessions helps. Havanese are cheerful, affectionate dogs who bond closely with their families, so a puppy often wants to be wherever the people are. Training is easiest when it is kind and consistent, and a few treats go a long way. Always talk to your vet about vaccines before taking a puppy to busy places.
Patches looks like the best present anyone could have hoped for, with no wrapping needed. The bow adds a touch of ceremony. It would be hard to say who is more excited about her, the family or the puppy.
