A Grey Persian Disappeared Into a Red Blanket and Fell Asleep
A grey Persian has made herself a bed from a thick red knit blanket, curling around until her fluffy body fills the hollow like a cloud in a bowl. Her eyes are closed, her flat nose is pressed against her paw, and every strand of her long fur seems to be sighing. Behind the blanket, a small tree with gold ornaments and a pale ribbon stands in the corner, a green plant sits by the window, and the wood floor gleams in the afternoon sun.
Persians have long, thick coats and a quiet temperament, and they are known for spending much of the day in a comfortable spot. That luxurious fur needs daily brushing to prevent tangles, and a gentle comb through the belly and behind the legs is a good habit. The flat face of the breed can make them more sensitive to heat, so even in winter, avoid placing a bed directly beside a heater or fire. Cats generally love blankets because they hold warmth and smell like home, so a washable, tightly knit one is an easy gift for a pet.
She looks like a small grey moon in a sea of red. The tree glows nearby, the house is hushed, and she is in no mood to be disturbed. A soft blanket is the best decoration.
