A Turkey Sweater, a Fluffy Orange Kitten, and a Sunny Couch
The sweater is knitted in burnt orange, with a little brown turkey stitched onto the shoulder, and the fluffy ginger kitten wearing it sits proudly on the couch. Her long fur spills out at the collar and tail, and her round amber eyes look toward the camera. Behind her, a plaid pillow, a throw blanket, and a basket sit on the sofa, with a glass of water and a few papers on the coffee table.
Long-haired orange cats are often called friendly and outgoing, though coat color does not decide personality. What a long coat does need is care: regular brushing to prevent mats and hairballs, especially in autumn when many cats shed. That sweater also deserves a note. Cats already come with a fur coat, so clothing is for a short photo moment only. Pick something soft and loose, check that she can walk, see, and breathe easily, and take it off right away if she freezes, hides, or chews at it. Never leave a cat in clothes unsupervised, since a loose thread or strap can tangle. Hairballs and shedding are also a good reason to keep a brush by the sofa.
A comfortable couch and a warm patch of sun is all most kittens need for a happy afternoon.
The turkey on her shoulder is purely decorative, but she wears it with plenty of seriousness.
