Every Tissue Came Out One by One. The Exotic Shorthair Is Very Calm.
Every tissue in the box has been pulled out, one by one, with great enthusiasm. A cream Exotic Shorthair sits on a wooden table next to a cardboard tissue box with its top torn open and crumpled white tissues spilling across the surface and onto the floor. The cat's flat face, tiny nose, and round copper eyes are tilted upward in an expression of pure, practiced innocence. A mug of coffee, a pair of glasses, a striped towel, and a cup of cotton swabs crowd the table, while a gray blanket is heaped on the bed behind it.
Exotic Shorthairs are sometimes called the short-coated cousin of the Persian. They share the Persian's sweet face and calm, affectionate personality but have a dense, plush coat that is much easier to care for. Many are relaxed and enjoy quiet companionship, though they can still be playful. Pulling tissues is a game a lot of cats discover, since each tug reveals another one. Keeping tissue boxes in a drawer or using a covered holder is the easiest solution, and a few interactive play sessions each day can help redirect that playful energy.
It is hard to scold a face like this. Those big eyes seem to ask whether a little help was not, in fact, exactly what was needed. The tissues will be swept up, and the cat will absolutely be forgiven.
