The Corgi Rolled Out the Toilet Paper and Down the Whole Hallway
The hallway floor is buried in shreds of toilet paper, and in the middle sits a tricolor Corgi with big pointed ears and round, startled eyes. An almost empty paper roll lies at his side, and a row of shoes waits near the open door behind him. His black, white and tan coat stands out against all the white. He looks like he is trying to decide whether to explain.
Corgis are smart, energetic herding dogs with short legs and big personalities. They were bred to nip at the heels of cattle, so they are quick and alert, and they love having a job. When a Corgi does not get enough activity, he may start herding household objects, tearing up paper or barking for attention. Toilet paper is not poisonous, but a large amount can upset the stomach, so call your vet if you think he swallowed much.
A closed bathroom door, a roll holder with a cover and a good walk in the morning can all help. Corgis also benefit from keeping a healthy weight, since their long backs do better without extra pounds, and your vet can suggest the right diet and exercise.
He sits very straight, which suggests that he considers the whole event an accident. The hallway has plenty of confetti, and he looks ready for the parade to begin.
