This Scottish Fold Found Out Where the Treats Were Hidden

The treat bag has been ripped neatly open, and a handful of brown kibble-shaped treats has spilled across the wooden table. Next to it sits the cream Scottish Fold, fluffy and round-faced with her small folded ears flat against her head. She looks off to the side with amber eyes and a face that says she knows how this looks. A few crumbs are scattered near her paws, and the kitchen behind her is quietly untidy.

Scottish Folds are famous for their folded ears and round, owl-like faces, and they are generally sweet, easygoing cats who enjoy being around people. Like most cats, though, they are clever enough to know where the good snacks live. Treats are fine in moderation, but they add up quickly, since cats are small and a few extra pieces can be a real portion of their daily food. Many vets suggest keeping treats to a small share of the daily diet and storing them in a sealed container that a determined paw cannot open. If you are not sure how much your cat should eat, talk to your vet, who can help you work it out.

She may have meant to take just one. By the look on her face, she knows it did not stay at one. A clip on the bag and a higher shelf will help, but there is little chance she will forget where they went.
