Pumpkin the Pomeranian Turns the Hallway Into a Snow Globe
The hallway is carpeted in tissue, and in the middle of it is a fluffy orange Pomeranian looking up as if he has just come out of a snowstorm. Long strips of toilet paper curl around him in a perfect circle and scraps are scattered all the way down to the end of the hall. His face is a small fox-like mask of guilt, with dark eyes and a tiny black nose, and the fur around his neck is as puffy as a lion's mane.
Pomeranians are tiny dogs with big personalities, and they are known for being lively, curious, and very confident for their size. They are also quick and clever, and a roll of toilet paper is irresistible to a dog with a lot of energy. Shredding paper is a normal play behavior, but swallowing a lot of it can upset a dog's stomach, so call your vet if you think he ate some. Keeping bathroom doors shut and giving him a rope toy or a puzzle toy helps a lot. Because Pomeranians have a thick double coat, they also need regular brushing, and their tiny teeth benefit from regular dental care, which your vet can advise on.
We will call him Pumpkin. He is small enough that the whole roll was a challenge, and yet he took it on with great enthusiasm. A quick cleanup, a hug, and a new roll will fix everything, and he'll probably do it again.
