Bandit the Havanese Wrapped the Living Room in Brown Paper
Brown wrapping paper has been unrolled across the floor in great crumpled waves, and the fluffy black and white Havanese is sitting in the middle of it with his head turned to one side. His silky coat is tousled and one ear flops over his face. He is looking just off camera with the careful air of a dog who is not going to make eye contact. Behind him, a couch, a plant, and a pile of toys complete a cozy living room.
Havanese are small, friendly, cheerful dogs that were bred as companions, and they tend to be happiest when they are close to their people. They are smart and playful and often enjoy learning tricks, which is probably why this one knows how to tackle a roll of paper. Their long, silky coats need regular brushing to stay tangle-free, and a ball of paper can get caught in the fur, so a quick check afterward helps. Paper and ribbon are a common thing for dogs to chew, and swallowed ribbon or tape can be a danger, so call your vet if your dog eats any. Giving him his own box of crinkly paper to explore can be a safe, fun alternative.
He has decided to look as if the paper unrolled itself. We will call him Bandit, and he has plenty of company in the mischief department. The paper will be recycled, and the memories are free.
