The Shiba Inu Stood Guard Over a Mountain of Spilled Kibble
Kibble spills from a torn paper bag in a brown fan across the warm floor, and a black and tan Shiba Inu sits upright beside it, ears pricked, eyes wide, a statue in the sunlight. The dog's chest is a clean cream and the tail curls up behind in a perfect loop. A doorway and a pale wall make the room look calm, but one dog has clearly been very busy.
Shiba Inus are alert, independent, and clever, with a fox-like face and a tail that curls over the back. They are known for being quite clean and a little stubborn, and they can be very good at getting into things. A bag of dog food on the floor is an open invitation, so store it in a container with a tight lid, and keep it in a closet or on a high shelf. Eating too much kibble at once can cause an upset stomach or worse, so if your dog has gorged on food, call your vet, especially if the belly looks swollen or tight.
The dog bowl is certainly not going to be empty tonight, though the bag will need some tape. In the meantime the Shiba sits there, still and proud, as if it were all part of a plan, and it has no intention of explaining a thing about that bag.
