A Weimaraner Climbed Into the Sink to Check the Dishes
A silver gray Weimaraner has climbed right into the kitchen sink and sits among the dirty plates, forks, and pans as if they were a nest. The long, velvety ears fold back, the amber eyes look sheepishly to the side, and a glass sits upright beside one front paw. Bits of food cling to a plate in the foreground, and the whole sink looks like a very messy, very exclusive spa.
Weimaraners are tall, athletic dogs with a sleek silvery coat, bred as hunting companions, and they are famously energetic, intelligent, and attached to their people. They need a lot of exercise and company, and a Weimaraner left bored may go exploring in the kitchen. Dirty dishes carry tempting smells but can also hold sharp edges, bones, and foods that aren't safe for dogs, so wash up quickly or keep the kitchen closed. Daily runs, training, and puzzle games make a big difference for this breed. If your dog cuts a paw or eats something unusual, call your vet.
The dishes will need to be washed twice, and the Weimaraner will need a stern but loving look. Sitting there in the sink, with her gray fur and long ears, she looks like a very elegant dog who just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. A little warm water and a good scrub later, the kitchen will be right again, and the Weimaraner will be napping.
