Just a Nose, Two Ears, and One Hopeful Look Over the Mattress

AI imagetricolor cavalierpuppybedroom

Only a face and a pair of long black ears show above the rumpled bedding, but that is more than enough. The tricolor puppy has rested her chin on the mattress edge and is gazing out with deep brown eyes, a pale blaze down her nose, and soft tan brows. Behind her, an unmade bed and a cluttered nightstand suggest a long, easy morning.

Peeking over the edge is classic puppy behavior: they want to see what is going on, and they want to be near their people. Cavaliers in particular are famously attached to family, and many will follow you from room to room. That closeness is part of their charm, though it also means they may need practice at being comfortable alone for short stretches.

Beds are tall from a puppy's point of view, and jumping down can be rough on small legs and backs. Many owners place a pet step beside the bed or simply lift the puppy up and down until she is bigger. It also helps to give her a comfy bed of her own nearby, so she has a spot that is truly hers when the human bed is off limits.

This one is not asking for much. She seems content just to look, to be near, and to wait for somebody to notice her. As requests go, it works every time.
