Three Little Lookouts Appeared Over the Edge of the Toy Box
A wooden toy box sits near a sunny window, and instead of toys at the top, there are three small faces lined up in a row. The tricolor puppies peer out with big dark eyes, black ears, and white blazes, like a trio of cheerful lookouts. Below them, a yellow plush duck, a gray rope toy, and a plaid blanket are piled in a happy jumble.
Puppies are naturally nosy, and a box of toys is practically a treasure chest. A good toy collection includes a mix of textures, such as soft plush for cuddling, rope for tugging, and rubber for chewing. Check each toy for loose parts like button eyes, and take away anything that starts to fall apart, because swallowed pieces can be dangerous.
Rotating a few toys at a time keeps things interesting, and it also stops a pup from getting overwhelmed by choices. Cavaliers are typically playful but not overly intense, so a mixture of gentle games and quiet time suits them well. Play also builds bonds, and puppies learn a lot from fetching, sharing, and trading toys with the people who care for them.
The three in the box are not choosing yet. They are just taking in the view, probably deciding which toy will be dragged off first once the lookout shift is over.
