Three Teddy Bear Puppies Fit in Just Two Hands
Three tiny chocolate Havanese puppies are held side by side in a pair of gentle hands, their paws dangling and their dark eyes wide with curiosity. Their curly coats are so fine they look like tiny teddy bears, and the little black noses are all pointing at the camera. In the background, a woven basket and a hand towel sit on a kitchen counter.
Holding a puppy properly is important for its safety. Support the chest and hind end, keep the pup close to your body and avoid lifting it by the legs. Small breeds like the Havanese are fragile when young, so children should always hold them while seated and supervised. Short, gentle handling helps pups get comfortable with people, which makes grooming and vet visits easier later.
Havanese puppies generally enjoy being held and cuddled, which is part of the breed's reputation as a loving companion dog. At the same time, they need time on the floor to explore, play and build strength. A balance of cuddles and independent play makes for a confident, well-rounded dog.
These three do not seem to mind being displayed. They look comfortable and calm, and each one appears to be thinking the same thing: that this is a very good place to be. If one starts to squirm, the others will follow, and soon the gentle hands will be holding a wriggling, chewing, tail-wagging trio instead.
