Three Saint Bernard Puppies Squeezed Into One Small Basket
Three red and white Saint Bernard puppies are tucked into a wicker basket, wrapped in a tan blanket, and looking out with wide, soulful eyes. Each has the classic dark mask and white blaze, and all three are eagerly watching something just past the camera. Behind them, a rumpled bed, a heap of clothes and a scatter of shoes suggest a busy room.
A basket like this one might be perfect for a photo, but a Saint Bernard puppy will not fit in it for long. These dogs can weigh a hundred pounds or more as adults, and they grow fast. That is why it is a good idea to buy large beds and supplies in advance and to plan for a big appetite. Talk to your vet about a feeding plan that supports steady, healthy growth.
Saint Bernards are known for their gentle and affectionate personalities. They typically do well with families and are patient with children, though supervision is always wise with a dog this size. Early training in basic manners, such as sitting politely and walking on a leash, is easier when they are small and still easy to lift.
For now they are comfortable and compact, and they share a single blanket. In a few months the basket will be a distant memory. Meanwhile the blanket stays warm, three noses keep twitching at the smells in the room, and somebody has to be the first to climb out.
