Four White Puppies Went Inspecting in the Garden at Dusk

AI imagemaltesepuppiesvegetable garden

Four white puppies have wandered into the vegetable garden at dusk. One stands near the back with his tail up, sniffing among the leaves. Two others look out from the side, and a fourth stands in front with a curious expression, ears folded. Leafy lettuce, young seedlings, and raised wooden beds surround them, while a clay pot and a warm light glow in the background.

A vegetable garden has many things puppies shouldn't eat. Onions, garlic, chives, grapes, and several other plants are harmful to dogs, and fertilizers and pest controls can be risky as well. For a tiny Maltese, even a small amount of something harmful can be a problem, so keep him out of the beds, or fence them off. Call your vet right away if your puppy eats something unsafe.

Dusk is a lovely time to explore, but the light is low, so tiny puppies are harder to see. Keep a close watch and use a leash if there are open gates. Wipe the paws afterward and brush the coat to remove dirt. Puppies learn quickly, and a calm walk through the yard can be a good lesson in staying out of the plants. A treat for leaving the plants alone helps seal the lesson.

Whatever the inspection finds, it is clear that these four are taking the job seriously. The lettuce looks nervous.
